Marie McQuade OBITUARY
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our matriarch, Marie McQuade. On December 28, 2024, Marie passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Marie received her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Science in Education degrees from Brooklyn College. She then went on to receive her Masters of Library Science from Queens College. Marie was a school teacher and librarian for over 30 years. In her free time Marie was an avid bingo player, loved traveling and spending time with her family.
She was the loving mother to Mark(Renee), John(Veronika), Gary(Susan) and our beloved Donna Zurlo in heaven; she leaves behind 7 grandchildren Gina,Janine,Anthony, John,Angela,Gina and Rosalie as well as 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Joseph and her brother Henry. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her!
Viewing hours will be held Friday, January 3, from 2-7PM at Coney Island Memorial Chapel.
A funeral mass will be held Saturday, January 4, at 10am at Our Lady Of Solace. Followed by her entombment at Resurrection Cemetery in Staten Island.
