Premier League transfer news and rumours

Salah to join Ronaldo in Turin?

Juventus already have Cristiano Ronaldo leading their forward line but according to reports the Italian champions want to add Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah to their attacking riches.

Egyptian ace Salah is being “earmarked” by the Old Lady as a £175m replacement for Argentine forward Paolo Dybala, says The Guardian.

If a deal for Salah is not on the cards then Juve could go for Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio instead. But Tuttosport says that Real pair Isco and James Rodriguez are also on Juve’s target list.

Juve eye Ajax star De Ligt

Another player on the Juventus radar is Ajax central defender Matthijs de Ligt. The 19-year-old has been linked with Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona, but it appears that Juventus are favourites to sign the youngster. (Calciomercato)

Schmeichel not happy with Puel

Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel could leave the club because he is not happy playing under manager Claude Puel. That’s according to the player’s father, Peter Schmeichel, who told BeIN Sports: “Leicester City are a really good football club. They’ve got good players they just don’t have the manager who can get the best out of them. Once they get everything sorted out - and I leave it to you to interpret what that means - you’ll see Leicester maybe in fifth to eighth place where they belong. Of course he [Kasper] wants to challenge himself like any other player. But I don’t think he wants to go to Europe. I think he loves England too much, I think he likes the Premier League too much, so it’s a difficult one.”

Maddison interest good for Foxes

Leicester City manager Claude Puel says the interest in playmaker James Maddison is a good thing for the club. Maddison has been linked with Tottenham, who beat the Foxes 3-1 yesterday. Puel said: “A lot of our players develop interest from other clubs but this is a good feeling and they have time to continue their work and develop themselves. Leicester is a good club and we showed the project we are trying to put in place, and it’s a good feeling to have this feedback from opponents in football.” (Sky Sports)

Rabiot on United list

Tottenham have been linked with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot and it’s also claimed that Manchester United are keen on the 23-year-old. (AS)

Solskjaer gives Fred update

Midfielder Fred was not part of the Manchester United squad that travelled to Fulham at the weekend but caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reassured the £52m man that he will get his chance to feature. Solskjaer said: “Fred is exactly like everyone else. You know he’s going to be able to contribute and he will contribute, don’t worry about that.” (Manchester Evening News)

Sessegnon to United?

Fulham left winger Ryan Sessegnon is a £50m target for Manchester United. The 18-year-old is reportedly stalling on a new deal at the west London club. (Daily Express)

Wolves in pole position to land Felix

Portuguese “wonderkid” Joao Felix is wanted by Wolves. The Premier League club are in pole position to sign the 19-year-old Benfica star. (Daily Mirror)
