Iran slams 'bullying' Trump as sanctions kick in

Iranian president says his country will "proudly bypass" Washington’s "illegal" and "unjust" sanctions by selling oil. Hassan Rouhani also referred to Donald Trump as a "bullying power". Trump has reinstated all sanctions removed under the 2015 nuclear deal, which will hit oil exports, shipping and banks - all core parts of the economy.






Patisserie Valerie chief foregoes salary

Luke Johnson, chairman of beleagured chain Patisserie Valerie, will waive his salary, reports the BBC. Johnson told the board he would not collect his £60,000 salary for the rest of his time at the group and will surrender directorships at other firms. The moves come after the chain, was forced to raise £25m in emergency funding after it uncovered black hole in its accounts in October.






Livid passengers slam British Airwas

Angry passengers have accused British Airways of treating them "inhumanely" during a "nightmare" 77-hour journey from Orlando to London. An eight-hour flight was due to take off from Florida at 7.25pm local time (12.25am UK time) on Thursday - but fuming customers did not arrivew back in the UK until Sunday. Social media has been flooded by images of children sleeping on the airport's floor. BA has apologised.
