More than 12,000 structures, including homes and office buildings, have been destroyed.

Several celebrities who call Los Angeles home have pitched in to help survivors.

Beyoncé

On Sunday, Beyoncé’s charity foundation, BeyGood, announced a Fire Relief Fund that she seeded with $2.5 million to aid victims of the Eaton Fire.

“Los Angeles we stand with you.  ” the Instagram post read. “BeyGOOD is taking action by announcing the LA Fire Relief Fund with a donation of 2.5 million dollars.”

“The fund is earmarked to aid families in the Altadena/Pasadena area who lost their homes, and to churches and community centers to address the immediate needs of those affected by the wildfires.”

Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton, who lost her own home in Malibu in the Pacific Palisades fire, announced an emergency fund to help families in need, which she seeded with a generous donation.

“As a mom, I can’t imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies so I’m launching an emergency fund through my nonprofit 11:11 Media Impact to support displaced families with young children,” Hilton wrote. “I am matching the first $100,000 of this fundraiser and personally contributing $100,000 directly to my nonprofit to support. I am looking for others to donate and match alongside me to do our part!”

Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez is stepping up to contribute a large amount to aid L.A. wildfire victims.

While Gomez did not publicly announce her donation, the CEO of Direct Relief, Thomas Tighe, confirmed that the Rare Beauty founder donated $5 million to its Wildfire Relief Fund.

Shortly after the fires broke out, Gomez reposted a statement to her Instagram story from her company’s account.

“As a Los Angeles-based team, our hearts are with California as we face massive wildfires that have threatened communities, displaced families, and destroyed homes. Please visit the following resources if you’re in need of support during this time,”  she said.

Jamie Lee Curtis

Moved by the impact of the wildfires in her Pacific Palisades neighborhood, Jamie Lee Curtis announced a donation of $1 million to relief victims.

“As the fire still rages on and @calfire @losangelesfiredepartment and all the available first responders and agencies involved in fighting fire and saving lives are still hard at work and neighbors and friends are banding together to save each other, my husband and I and our children have pledged $1 million from our Family Foundation to start a fund of support for our great city and state and the great people who live and love there,” Curtis wrote on Instagram.

“I’m in communication with Governor Newsom and Mayor Bass and Senator Schiff as to where those funds need to be directed for the most impact.”

Kylie Jenner

Although Kylie Jenner did not specify an exact amount, the Kylie Cosmetics owner vowed to donate money. “Our hearts go out to all of those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires,” Jenner wrote in her Instagram stories. “To help support the communities affected, we’re making a donation to the California Fire Foundation Wildfire & Disaster Relief Fund. The Wildfire & Disaster Relief Fund is an extension of the California Fire Foundation.”

Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni allegations, lawsuits explained https://www.nydailynews.com/2025/01/11/blake-lively-justin-baldoni-allegations-lawsuits-explained/ Sat, 11 Jan 2025 13:00:42 +0000 https://www.nydailynews.com/?p=8067682 Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have exchanged sharp words, concerning accusations and a myriad of legal complaints since their hit film “It Ends With Us” was released in August.

If you’re not up to date on the saga, here’s an explainer on all the controversy surrounding the movie, its lead stars and the lawsuits that followed.

How the Lively/Baldoni feud started

Once “It Ends With Us” hit theaters on Aug. 9, it was clear the cast, particularly Blake Lively, were distancing themselves from co-star and director Baldoni.

At the film’s New York premiere that month, fans noticed Baldoni wasn’t photographed with the rest of the cast. In fact, it appears none of them took pictures with the movie’s director. Instead, he posed on the red carpet separately with his wife, Emily Baldoni. This ignited social media speculation about the relationship between the co-stars.

Rumors further intensified when, during promotion for the film, Lively wouldn’t directly answer any questions about what it was like working with Baldoni.

In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, Lively was asked how the two actors built trust ahead of filming such emotionally charged scenes.

“This movie was such a challenge,” she replied. “You have scenes that are deeply painful and traumatic and physical, but you also have scenes that are full of levity and light and romance.”

Viewers immediately called out the 37-year-old actress for not mentioning Baldoni in her answer at all.

Though it didn’t dampen the film’s box office success, the perception of Lively quickly went sour after her marketing efforts fell flat in interviews, with many saying she seemed tone-deaf and made light of the film’s somber subject matter.

While public opinion turned on Lively, Baldoni was being celebrated for putting the topic of domestic violence at the center of his press run.

Stories also circulated that Lively used her celebrity status to take creative control from Baldoni. She was accused of bringing in husband Ryan Reynolds to do last-minute rewrites and of hiring her own editor, resulting in two different cuts of the film.

But months later, things took an even more dramatic turn when Lively sued Baldoni for sexual harassment and a subsequent effort to publicly smear her reputation.

Lively’s complaints against Baldoni

Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December, accusing him of “repeated sexual harassment and other disturbing behavior” while she was on the set.

In documents obtained by TMZ, Lively alleged that she was subjected to unwanted sexual conversations and added sex scenes that she had not approved when signing onto the film.

The actress said a meeting was held to address the “hostile work environment,” where Baldoni was told to stop showing Lively photos and videos of nude women, stop mentioning his “alleged previous pornography addiction” or prior sexual conquests, and to stop referring to the cast and crew’s genitalia.

She also requested there be “no more adding of sex scenes, oral sex, or on-camera climaxing by Lively outside the scope of the script Lively approved.”

While Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios, which he co-founded, appeared to agree to her requests, Lively claimed they soon embarked on a retaliatory “social manipulation” campaign designed to “destroy” her reputation, which caused her “severe emotional distress.”

Baldoni responds to Lively’s lawsuit

Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, slammed the “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious” allegations, claiming the “Gossip Girl” alum was merely scrambling to “fix her negative reputation.”

He added that Lively was the one who contributed to a hostile work environment, “threatening to not show up to set [and] threatening to not promote the film, ultimately leading to its demise during release.”

The New York Times releases report

After TMZ’s initial report, the New York Times followed up with an article further detailing Baldoni’s alleged misconduct and his “coordinated” smear campaign.

Lively claimed Baldoni “had improvised unwanted kissing and discussed his sex life, including encounters in which he said he may not have received consent,” the Times report read. She alleged that he and lead producer Jamey Heath “repeatedly entered her makeup trailer uninvited while she was undressed, including when she was breastfeeding.”

The Times story also described text messages, obtained through subpoena and included in Lively’s filing, which allegedly outlined Baldoni’s desire to “eviscerate” the actress if she went public with her concerns. A message from a studio PR rep suggested Baldoni wanted to “feel like Lively can be buried.”

“You know we can bury anyone,” allegedly replied crisis management expert Melissa Nathan, who went on to warn against putting their plans for a takedown in writing.

“When we send over documents we can’t send over the work we will or could do because that could get us in a lot of trouble. We can’t write we will destroy her,” Nathan responded. “Imagine if a document saying all the things that he wants ends up in the wrong hands.”

Baldoni’s lawyer then released a statement to the Times claiming Lively had enlisted her own PR rep to “plant negative and completely fabricated” stories about Baldoni, which was “another reason why Wayfarer Studios made the decision to hire a crisis professional.”

Baldoni sues the New York Times for $250 million

A week and a half after the New York Times report, Baldoni, his producers and PR reps filed a $250 million lawsuit against the paper, alleging it “cherry-picked” texts and edited communications to be “stripped of necessary context.”

The 87-page complaint accused the Times of libel, false light invasion of privacy, promissory fraud and breach of implied-in-fact contract. Baldoni quoted text messages between himself and Lively, which he claimed refuted many of her allegations.

In response to the complaint, the New York Times released a statement saying their story was “responsibly reported” and based on the review of “thousands of pages of original documents, including the text messages and emails that we quote accurately and at length in the article.”

Baldoni’s lawyer promises receipts

The drama carried over into the new year, with Baldoni’s attorney promising to release evidence that would show Lively’s “pattern of bullying and threats to take over the movie,” as well as her own orchestration of a “vicious attack” against Baldoni.

“Lively used other people to communicate those threats and bully her way to get whatever she wanted,” Freedman told People on Jan. 7. “We have all the receipts and more.”

The following day, Freedman appeared on “TMZ Live,” where he said he was crafting up a lawsuit against Lively’s PR rep, Leslie Sloane.

“She should definitely be sued. There’s no question about that. It’s just a matter of when and for what,” he said. “Based on the investigation we’ve done — the text messages we have, the receipts that will go along with our complaint — she’s dead in the water.”

The couple has not yet publicly commented on the tragedy.

Eugene Levy

Actor Eugene Levy managed to narrowly escape before his home in the Pacific Palisades was burned to the ground.

Mandy Moore

While the main part of Mandy Moore’s home in Altadena is “miraculously” still standing, the flames caused significant damage to several portions of her home, including the garage, music studio and back house. Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are divorce-bound: report https://www.nydailynews.com/2025/01/08/jessica-alba-cash-warren-separation-divorce/ Wed, 08 Jan 2025 20:48:44 +0000 https://www.nydailynews.com/?p=8063780 Jessica Alba and Cash Warren are officially on the road to divorce after nearly 17 years of marriage.

The estranged couple recently separated and are reportedly going their separate ways, according to TMZ.

Though it’s unclear what brought the couple to the decision, rumors of trouble for the pair began swirling when Alba was spotted out without her wedding ring in Rome last month. Photos circulated showing the actress at dinner with film producer Andrea Lervolino. They are working together on the biopic “Maserati: The Brothers.”

The Honest company owner was also seen solo and ringless at a pre-Golden Globes party on Saturday. Last week, Warren was also out and about not wearing his wedding band, TMZ observed.

In fact, the last time the couple was seen publicly was in November while attending a Lakers game at the Crypto.com Arena, the outlet noted.

The Hollywood couple first met in 2004 while on the set of “Fantastic Four” in Vancouver. Alba starred in the film, while Warren was the director’s assistant. The duo tied the knot in May of 2008.

The estranged pair share three children: 16-year-old Honor, 13-year-old Haven and 7-year-old Hayes.

During the marriage, Alba launched her wellness brand “The Honest Company.” She stepped down as the company’s Chief Creative Officer in April 2024. At that time, the company had a valuation of $1.4 billion. Alba holds a 5.4% stake in the company that alone is currently valued at more than $45 million.

In 2021, Alba spoke with People about juggling the responsibility of running the company while being a mother and wife.

“I think that he probably gets the short end of the stick,” she said of Warren. And it’s not even him, I would say it’s us. When I’m seeing him and spending time with him and we’re really enjoying each other, it’s an ‘us’ thing and it feeds me as well. It’s hard. It’s impossible.”

It is unclear whether Alba and Warren signed a prenup.

SZA wants to make children’s music, then quit showbiz to become a farmer https://www.nydailynews.com/2025/01/06/sza-childrens-music-farmer/ Mon, 06 Jan 2025 21:15:38 +0000 https://www.nydailynews.com/?p=8060410 SZA might be going on a world tour with Kendrick Lamar this year, but her future plans involve a much quieter life.

The “Snooze” singer says she plans to shift music genres to fulfill the remainder of her contract and then plans to switch career from entertainment to agriculture. “To fulfill my last 2 album requirements I think I just wanna make peaceful children’s music n get outta here,” SZA wrote on X. “Then go be a farmer n donate the produce to underserved communities.”

Though it’s unclear how many albums she has left on her contract, this announcement comes weeks after the release of her highly anticipated album “SOS Deluxe: Lana”, which dropped on December 20.

“FULL DELUXE DROPS FIRST THING TOMORROW AM ,” she wrote on Instagram on Dec.19, “(Had to get my mixes right lol ! All songs are delivered and Ingesting into the system as we speak  pls be kind .. we been up for days ).”

With a new album under her belt and an upcoming tour, 2025 is sure to be a busy year for SZA, but her desire to step away from the limelight doesn’t come as a surprise. The musician has been vocal about the mental health struggles fame brings.

“Every day I grapple with, ‘Am I done with music?’” she told British Vogue. “Maybe I’m just not meant to be famous; I’m crashing and burning and behaving erratically. It’s not for me because I have so much anxiety. But why would God put me in this position if I wasn’t supposed to be doing this? So I just keep trying to rise to the occasion. But I’m also just like, ‘Please, the occasion is beating my ass.’”

The “SOS” artist says creating “Lana” was an opportunity for her to express those emotions.

“I think I am making music from a more beautiful place. From a more possible place versus a more angsty place,” she added. “I’m not identifying with my brokenness. It’s not my identity. It’s s–t that happened to me. Yeah, I experienced cruelty. I have to put it down at some point. Piece by piece, my music is shifting because of that, the lighter I get.”

SZA and Kendrick Lamar will join forces on the joint “Grand National Tour” that begins on April 19 in Minneapolis.

Tallulah Willis defends mom Demi Moore amid accusations of Kylie Jenner snub https://www.nydailynews.com/2025/01/06/demi-moore-kylie-jenner-snub-tallulah-willis-defends/ Mon, 06 Jan 2025 19:45:28 +0000 https://www.nydailynews.com/?p=8060260 Tallulah Lewis is coming to her mother Demi Moore’s defense amid accusations that the Golden Globe winner snubbed Kylie Jenner at the ceremony.

In a video circulating on social media, just moments after she won her award for her role in “The Substance,” Moore is seen greeting Elle Fanning, who was sitting at a table with her “A Complete Unknown” co-star Timothee Chalamet and Jenner, his girlfriend.

The “Ghost” actress embraced Fanning and engaged her in conversation while seemingly ignoring Jenner, who was sitting close by.

Seconds later, Moore hugged Chalamet as he extended his congratulations to her, while Jenner turned her back to Moore.

After seeing the moment play out in the video, fans immediately came to Jenner’s defense on social media and accused the 62-year-old star of being “catty.”

However, Tallulah Willis, Moore’s daughter with ex Bruce Willis, insists the moment wasn’t a “snub of any sort.”

“Had she seen KJ wanting to congratulate her she would have fully given her the time and space,” she wrote on her Instagram stories Monday. “Literally just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishment.”

Regardless of the online chatter, Moore enjoyed a night of praise for her role in “The Substance,” which marks the first major accolade she’s received in her decades long acting career.

“I really wasn’t expecting that,” Moore said in her acceptance speech after winning best actress in a comedy or musical. “I’m just in shock right now.”

“I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me, and for the gift of doing something I love and being reminded that I do belong,” she added. “Thank you so much.”

Host Nikki Glaser roasts Harrison Ford, Benny Blanco in Golden Globes opening monologue  https://www.nydailynews.com/2025/01/05/nikki-glaser-golden-globes-opening-monologue/ Mon, 06 Jan 2025 01:52:24 +0000 https://www.nydailynews.com/?p=8057638 Comedian Nikki Glaser didn’t hold back while hosting the 82nd Annual Golden Globes on Sunday, taking shots at Harrison Ford, Nicole Kidman, Adrien Brody and Benny Blanco.

Glaser kicked off the ceremony by teasing that the Golden Globes are “Ozempic’s biggest night,” before turning her attention to the individual celebrities in the audience.

“I was actually talking to Harrison backstage and after he gave me his drink order, I said, ‘Would you rather work with Zendaya or Ariana?’ He said Indica so we’re going to find him some so he has a good time tonight,” Glaser joked, referring to decades of reports about Ford’s weed-smoking exploits.

The comedian then shifted to Kidman, saying, “Nicole Kidman is here nominated for ‘Babygirl.’ So good, I love that movie. I give it two fingers up,” making a not-so-subtle nod to the sexual scenes in the film.

Glaser also poked fun at “two-time Holocaust survivor” Adrien Brody for his role in “The Brutalist,” similar to his Oscar-winning role in 2002’s “The Pianist.”

The host then called out Selena Gomez, before addressing her date, music producer Benny Blanco: “She’s here tonight with her new fiancé, Benny Blanco. And Benny Blanco is here because of the genie who granted him that wish. Lucky guy.”

Glaser didn’t hesitate to take jabs at disgraced hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, saying the film “Challengers” was more “sexually charged” than his credit card.

“The afterparty isn’t gonna be as good this year!” she exclaimed, before looking directly at “Searching for Italy” star Stanley Tucci.

“Stanley Tucci freak-off doesn’t have the same ring to it,” she quipped. “No baby oil, just lots of olive oil.”

Glaser didn’t shy away from making fun of herself either, joking it was the first time she was “in a room full of producers at the Beverly Hilton hotel, and this time all of my clothes are on.”

The 40-year-old comedian made history as the first woman to host the Golden Globes solo. While she sells out comedy shows around the world, Sunday’s event was her biggest audience to date — and she made sure that she was ready for it.

On the red carpet ahead of the ceremony, Glaser told E! News that she practiced her opening monologue a total of 93 times.

“This will be my 94th time telling some version of this,” she told host Zuri Hall. “It’s still changed even from the last time I told it until now. We’re constantly making edits, trying to top jokes, trying to strike the right note and tone for the evening.”

Glaser was feeling so prepared that she was even getting ready to “go a little wild” if the moment called for it.

“I practiced so much so that when I get up there, I can just be in it. And then that’s when stuff’s gonna start coming out that wasn’t planned,” she said. “I’m suddenly going to see the people I’m talking about. It’s gonna set off something new in my head, for sure.”

Despite being widely known for her controversial punchlines — including her epic evisceration of NFL legend Tom Brady during his Netflix roast in May — Glaser said last month that she wasn’t “out for blood” with her opening monologue, but admitted that everyone in attendance would be fair game.

“It’s still a big, glitzy, glamorous event where people are taking themselves too seriously. So it’s walking a line with them,” the comedian told People. “I want it to be edgy enough to please the people at home. … Even though we all worship the Hollywood elite, they still want me to put them in their place.”

What will win: “The Brutalist”

From mystery-thriller “Conclave” set in the halls of the Vatican to Bob Dylan’s biopic “A Complete Unknown,” it’s undoubtedly a strong contest among this year’s drama nominees. But there’s one film that stands out as arguably the best of 2024, an epic period piece that takes a deep dive into the immigrant experience in America.

“The Brutalist” brilliantly explores the 30-year journey of a Jewish architect who survives the Holocaust and emigrates to the United States, where he’s forced to endure poverty and indignity in search of the American dream.

The film, which director Brady Corbet worked on for seven years, has been hailed by critics and filmmakers from around the world, despite some disapproval over its three-and-a-half-hour runtime.

“This film does everything that we are told we are not allowed to do,” Corbet said during its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, shrugging off the criticism. “[It’s about] how much story there is to tell. … The idea we have to fit into a box is quite silly.”

Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical

  • “Anora”
  • “Challengers”
  • “Emilia Pérez”
  • “A Real Pain”
  • “The Substance”
  • “Wicked”

What will win: “Wicked”

The big-screen adaptation of the popular Broadway musical dominated the box office at the end of the year to become one of the highest-grossing domestic releases ever, even adjusting for inflation.

The blockbuster fantasy, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, earned glowing reviews from audiences and critics alike — and if social media is any indication, fans are still literally singing its praises.

While Cinderella story “Anora,” quirky dramedy “A Real Pain” and musical thriller “Emilia Perez” have all won rave reviews of their own, “Wicked” more than likely has an edge.

Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama

  • Adrien Brody, “The Brutalist”
  • Timothée Chalamet, “A Complete Unknown”
  • Daniel Craig, “Queer”
  • Colman Domingo, “Sing Sing”
  • Ralph Fiennes, “Conclave”
  • Sebastian Stan, “The Apprentice”

Who will win: Adrien Brody

Adrien Brody — no stranger to winning awards after taking home the Best Actor Oscar in 2003 for his role in the period piece “The Pianist” — will definitely be adding more accolades to his resume this year.

In “The Brutalist,” Brody takes on the role of Jewish Holocaust survivor László Tóth, who struggles to make a life for himself in America following World War II. Despite the film being significantly longer than most, Brody keeps viewers gripped with his nuance and emotional range.

The actor says he took inspiration from his mother, a photographer who fled Europe in 1956 during the Hungarian revolution.

“[She] was a refugee and immigrated to the United States, and much like László, started again and pursued a dream of being an artist,” Brody said at the Venice Film Festival. “I understand a great deal about the repercussions of that on her life … and how post-war psychology influences your work.”

Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama

  • Pamela Anderson, “The Last Showgirl”
  • Angelina Jolie, “Maria”
  • Nicole Kidman, “Babygirl”
  • Tilda Swinton, “The Room Next Door”
  • Fernanda Torres, “I’m Still Here”
  • Kate Winslet, “Lee”

Who will win: Angelina Jolie

The fight for Best Female Actor in a Drama ultimately comes down to Oscar winners Angelina Jolie and Nicole Kidman.

While Kidman was terrific as a New York CEO who embarks on an affair with a much younger intern in “Babygirl,” it was Jolie in “Maria” that delivered the most impact in 2024.

Her stunning performance has been at the forefront of award show chatter since the biopic’s debut at the Venice Film Festival in August, where her turn as renowned opera star Maria Callas garnered an eight-minute standing ovation.

Portraying the legendary soprano and diving deep into the opera world was “therapy I didn’t realize I needed,” she said at a press conference. “I had no idea how much I was holding in and not letting out. The challenge wasn’t the technical; it was an emotional experience to find my voice, to be in my body, to express. You have to give every single part of yourself.”

Sebastian Stan in 'A Different Man'.

  • Hugh Grant, “Heretic”
  • Gabriel LaBelle, “Saturday Night”
  • Jesse Plemons, “Kinds of Kindness”
  • Glen Powell, “Hit Man”
  • Sebastian Stan, “A Different Man”

Who will win: Sebastian Stan

From Hugh Grant playing a horror villain in “Heretic” to Glen Powell as a strait-laced professor moonlighting as a hitman, every actor in this category is beloved for their own reasons. But we’ve got to stan Sebastian Stan in “A Different Man.”

In the dark comedy, Stan portrays a struggling actor with neurofibromatosis, a genetic condition that causes his face to be disfigured. After undergoing an experimental procedure to drastically transform his appearance, he assumes a new identity — but finds that “new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare.”

  • Cynthia Erivo, “Wicked”
  • Karla Sofía Gascón, “Emilia Pérez”
  • Mikey Madison, “Anora”
  • Demi Moore, “The Substance”
  • Zendaya, “Challengers”

Who will win: Cynthia Erivo

Though Mikey Madison is widely seen as a frontrunner for her role as a sex worker searching for her fairytale in “Anora,” it’s Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba in “Wicked” that will surely take lead.

Despite the story of Elphaba being one that many viewers are familiar with, Erivo managed to give the green-skinned character new meaning in the blockbuster musical, magically pairing a soaring vocal performance with raw emotional depth.

Erivo has said that she hopes her turn as Elphaba is “a bit of a love letter to everyone who feels different, who feels out of place, to all of the Black women who have walked into rooms and felt like they haven’t been welcomed. To anyone who’s walked into a room and felt like they haven’t been welcomed.”

Joss Stone ‘shocked’ by pregnancy weeks after adopting a baby https://www.nydailynews.com/2024/12/20/joss-stone-shocked-by-pregnancy-weeks-after-adopting-a-baby/ Fri, 20 Dec 2024 19:36:48 +0000 https://www.nydailynews.com/?p=8043268 Two weeks after adopting a baby, Joss Stone’s family is growing even more than expected.

The “Right to Be Wrong” singer announced she and her husband, Cody DaLuz, adopted a baby boy, Bear, earlier this month. So the songstress was “shocked” to learn weeks later that she is also pregnant with a child.

“Honestly, Shocked was an understatement,” she captioned a post on Thursday. “Nothing and no one can take our joy now. We are so chuffed !!!! Maybe we should call the ‘less is more tour the preggo tour.”

The 37-year-old, who is also mom to 3-year-old Violet and 2-year-old Shackleton, paired the caption with a slideshow of herself reading the pregnancy test, writing  on-screen, “The one where mummy finds out…”

The “Super Duper Love” singer previously explained they’d spent “a while” trying to adopt, sharing the moment Bear was ready to come home and acknowledging Bear’s biological mom, who will still be a part of his life.

“Honestly, bio mothers do not get the gratitude they deserve,” she reflected. “It is a more selfless love than I knew existed. Truly. We are just so happy to be part of this beautiful cycle.”

“She’s such a lovely girl,” she said in a Dec. 9 video. “It’s just really nice to have that connection with her because I know it’ll be really, really nice for Bear.”

Joss has also spoken about how motherhood has unequivocally transformed her life. “There’s a different compartment of your heart that gets opened,” she told Yahoo’s So Mini Ways. “It is completely unbreakable, completely unconditional. My life got bigger and my love got bigger.”

Jeff Bezos faces backlash for dinner with Trump amid Amazon strike https://www.nydailynews.com/2024/12/19/jeff-bezos-dinner-with-trump-amid-amazon-strike/ Thu, 19 Dec 2024 19:59:25 +0000 https://www.nydailynews.com/?p=8041834 Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is the latest billionaire to take a trip to Mar-a-Lago to dine with president-elect Donald Trump.

On Wednesday night, the Washington Post owner was spotted walking in with his fiancée Lauren Sanchez as the couple attended their first dinner with Trump since his reelection. In a clip shared on X, the couple is seen at the Palm Beach estate with Melania Trump and the soon to be 47th president.

The dinner comes days after Bezos pledged $1 million to Donald Trump‘s inauguration fund, despite the rocky relationship between them over the years.

Just weeks before the election, Bezos reportedly stopped the Washington Post, from endorsing a presidential candidate. He immediately offered a warm congratulations to Trump after he won the presidency, even saying he feels “optimistic” about his second term.

“Big congratulations to our 45th and now 47th President on an extraordinary political comeback and decisive victory,” Bezos posted on X. “No nation has bigger opportunities.”

On Thursday, Bezos faced backlash for his double date with the Trumps from U.S. senator Bernie Sanders, who says Bezos needs to get his priorities straight as thousands of Amazon workers went on strike across the U.S on Thursday.

“Amazon’s Jeff Bezos has more money than could be spent in a million lifetimes,” Sanders wrote on X. “Why then does his company force workers to meet impossible quotas and treat them as disposable when they are injured?”

Sanders continued, “To Amazon, long-term pain and disability is just the cost of doing business.”

While Bezos has yet to comment on the strike or his dinner with Trump, the president-elect took to Truth Social to make one thing clear: “EVERYBODY WANTS TO BE MY FRIEND!!!”
