UPDATED:

A man was slashed in the neck during an argument with a stranger in a Midtown subway station early Monday, police said.

The two men got into a quarrel that escalated into the slashing on the uptown C train platform at the W. 50th St. stop about 1:30 a.m., cops said.

Medics took the 48-year-old victim, bleeding from the neck and with facial bruises, to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

The attacker got on the C train after the attack, but was nabbed by police one stop later at the 59th St.-Columbus Circle station. Cops charged Orsen Reyes, 23, with felony assault and weapons possession. He was carrying a knife and screwdriver, cops said.

Reyes was taken to Bellevue to be treated for a cut on his hand. He appears to have inadvertently cut himself during the assault, police said.

It wasn’t immediately clear what the argument was about.
