A 35-year-old man was fatally shot outside a Hell’s Kitchen apartment building in Manhattan early Saturday, cops said.

Officers called to W. 49th St. near Ninth Ave. just before 3 a.m. found Shareif Jackson sprawled out on the ground.

Jackson had been shot twice in the chest and body, but was conscious when first responders arrived, cops said.

EMS rushed him to Bellevue Hospital, where he died a short time later.

A motive for the shooting was not immediately disclosed and no arrests have been made, police said.

Cops on Saturday were scouring the area for surveillance footage that could help them identify the shooter.

Detectives have seen a 66% jump in homicides in that section of Midtown Manhattan — protected by the cops of the Midtown North Precinct — this year, according to NYPD statistics.

As of last Sunday, police have investigated five murders in the area, two more than this time last year, officials said.

Murders have dropped by 4% citywide, from 387 last year to 370, police said.
